Bryan Coburn’s year-long experience as SC’s 2010 State Teacher of the Year culminated in a trip to Washington, D.C.  He joined other state teachers at events including a behind-the-scenes view of the Smithsonian, a reception at Vice-President and Dr. Jill Biden’s residence, a gala dinner, and a meeting with President Obama at the White House.
