Developing Aspiring Principals Program (DAPP)
The Developing Aspiring Principals Program (DAPP) is designed to provide an intensive curriculum for current assistant principals aspiring to become principals. Participants are selected based on an application process that requires recommendations from their principal and superintendent.
The residential program consists of ten days over the course of a school year. Participants will be assigned to a cohort group and will meet with the group during the year.
The curriculum includes self-knowledge assessments, leadership development, instructional leadership, self-improvement, media relations, legal and policy issues. Methods of instruction for the program will include group field experiences, book studies, professional action planning, case studies, simulations, assessment instruments, and journals.
