PACE Cohort 7 is divided into two sections: 7A and 7B. Cohort
7A participants are those who began the training program in July 2009. Cohort
7B participants are those hired after July 8, 2009 and will begin
the training program in December 2009.
All PACE Cohort 7 participants are required to complete all stages of the training program. This includes a pre-service training program, first-year seminars, an in-service training program after the first year of teaching, and second-year seminars. Since this is an accelerated teacher training program, attendance at all training sessions is mandatory. Certification and potential salary changes will be based on successful completion of the seminars and the recommendation of the instructors. |

The deadline to pre-register is December 7, 2009. It is the participant's responsibility to complete and submit the pre-registration form as soon as possible. The State Department of Education is trying to accommodate all eligible participants; however, early registration is encouraged to assure your place in the training.
Once participants have successfully completed the pre-service at Dreher High School, they will continue the training in one of the training locations listed below. Training locations are limited to the number of participants they can serve. Site preference will be given on a first come first served basis. Participant's first or second regional choice may not be available.
Enrollment and Certification Requirements
To participate in the training, a Confirmation of Employment form (COE) must be on file by December 7, 2009 and a copy of passing scores on the required Praxis subject area examination(s) must be on file in the Office of Educator Certification by December 11, 2009. Participants must also have a complete application packet on file at the Office of Educator Certification by December 7, 2009.
